The week has finally arrived with all it’s glory and anticipation!
Alex and I are running in the 5k and we are excited. More so, we are excited to cheer on all the half marathon and marathon, and Goofy (event for people running both half and full – Dopey is the event for people running 5k, half, and full) runners! From the expo, races, meet and greets, people, and stories I am sure this weekend will be one of never-ending inspiration and fun.
I’ve got to be honest with you guys. My training has been very lax for the last month. I didn’t want to stress myself out or risk any old injuries flaring up. Running just 3 days a week. 1.5-2.5 miles per run. 3 minute jog / 1 minute walk. My last run before the race was yesterday and I went just over a mile using intervals of 2 jog / 1 walk.
I feel ready and if I feel good on Friday morning then maybe I can use this to get back in the game. The last thing I want is for last years bad habits and injuries to overshadow this year.
— My cousin has been a runner all her life (she is now in her 40’s) and is running her first full this weekend! I am so excited to see her and cheer her on!
— Friday (5k day) is also Alex and I’s 18 month anniversary! Time flies when you’re having fun (running)!

I better get to laundry and packing. I work today and tomorrow before making the short drive over to Walt Disney World on Thursday. I can’t even concentrate I am too excited.
