Rain, Rain Go Away

Happy Hump Day!!
It’s a rainy hump day here, it’s been raining since Monday afternoon.
I love thunderstorms, but it just doesn’t motivate me to do anything.
And the now Tropical Storm is making it’s way from Cuba to the Atlantic coast of Florida.
It’s a wet & dreary week in the Sunshine State.

Yesterday I talked about moving… real quick here are the cities that were named “My Top Spots” based on the QUIZ I took yesterday.

  • Carlisle, Pa
  • Knoxville / Nashville / Memphis, Tenn — 3 Tenn cities?
  • Seattle, WA — Always on list.
  • Cincinnati / Cleavland / Toledo, OH — Never really considered Ohio.
  • Denver, CO — Always on list.
  • Norfolk, Va — Always on list.
  • Indianapolis, In
  • Hartford, Conn
  • Albuquerque, NM — really?!?!
  • Oklahoma City, OK
  • Portland, Or
  • Little Rock, Ar
  • Jacksonville, Fl
  • Charleston, SC
  • Houston / Fort Worth / San Antonio, TX — Again, never considered this.
  • Minneapolis-St Paul, MN — Always on list.
  • St. Louis, MO
  • Charlotte, NC — Always on list.

With that, I will narrow them down based on colleges & universities, my love of sports, cost of living, and the ability to get involved — whether that is with charity & volunteering, city league sports & activities or whatever. I have a lot to consider, and only time will tell. Everything will depend upon what happens with my opportunity to go to Germany, and of course landing a job — but my field of choice is in Hospitality and Event Planning, so I should be good anywhere I go.

Moving on… I got on the scale this morning for the first time since Sunday. I was happy to see I did not gain any weight since my St. Augustine adventures. Still sitting at 188.8. I did take a lot of food home, but there were cupcakes, Popsicles, wine and martinis and gourmet popcorn that got consumed between meals. Maintaining my weight this week is good! Since St. Augustine my eating has been pretty spot on, kept my calories in check. Workouts have been a different story though! They have been non-existent. SHAME ON ME!

It’s almost October 1st though, and I will be shredding every day! Should I take before pictures/weight/measurements? I am thinking so… that way I can hopefully see the difference come months end. And today is the LAST day to sign up for Sly’s October Challenge. Come on! You know you want to do this with me!!

Before I go enjoy my Amy’s Vegetable Pot Pie and a cup of hot green tea; I want to wish you all bight and sunny days in your part of the world… instead of gloomy and gray with a 100% chance of rain! And since there is a break in the storm I captured these for you…

I would say out of everything, consider weather. I’ve heard Albuquerque is a great scene but it gets real cold and snows there…I think you’d like DFW, it’s not as humid as Florida but it’s a lot hotter but it ends up feeling the same and we have a decent hockey team, a pretty good basketball team, we have a local soccer team (Frisco – close to where I live), and duh, ME! :] That wasn’t sports-related, haha. I don’t think you’d like Ohio, it’s pretty dead everywhere and I don’t think I know anyone who LIKES living there. Indianapolis has a pretty sweet scene as far as entertainment and stuff, again the weather if you don’t like the cold…from what I’ve seen Oregon is gorgeous and Portland is pretty happening and is close enough to Seattle that it’d be kinda like a 2-for-1 thing! That’s all the input I have. :]
